Google has launched their new cute little autonomous vehicle (self-driving car)! Isn’t that neat? A few of the company’s prototype vehicles are now roaming the streets of downtown Austin, Texas – with a google-employed passenger, of course! This project has been around for more than five years, and the company’s cars have driven more than million miles. Google has already encountered some new problems since the testing of their self-driving cars, like the city’s horizontal traffic signals and the local deer population. The 16 accidents that the autonomous vehicle has been involved in have all been “minor” and the fault of the other vehicle involved, according to Google. We here at inTech believe in moving forward with all technologies. Having cars that drive themselves is only the beginning. We say “Keep up the good work Google!”.
